Privacy Policy
This policy covers the Nock iOS app and any related website we publish. Contact: support@thenockapp.com.
What Nock does
Nock helps you compare a resume and cover letter with a job posting. This policy describes the information involved, not how the product works internally.
What we collect
We do not require an account. There is no Nock login.
On your device. Resumes, cover letters, job postings, results, notes, and settings stay on your device (and in your own backups, if you use them). We do not run a Nock server that stores copies of your documents.
API keys. If you add an AI provider key, it is stored securely on your device.
AI providers you choose. When you scan, draft, or request feedback, the App sends the needed text directly to the provider you selected (such as OpenAI, Anthropic, or Google) using your key. Their privacy policies and billing apply. We do not receive that content on our servers. Some processing may also run only on your device.
Purchases. Nock Pro is sold through Apple. We use RevenueCat to confirm whether your subscription is active. We do not receive your full payment details.
Ads (free use). Free use may include rewarded ads from Google. Google may collect device and advertising data, including an advertising identifier if you allow tracking. You can decline tracking and still use Nock. Pro removes these ads.
Support. If you email us, we receive what you send, including any device/app details you include.
How we use information
To run the app, confirm subscriptions, show ads to free users, answer support mail, and comply with law. We do not use your documents to train our own models, because we do not receive them.
Sharing
We share information only with: you (on-device storage); an AI provider you choose, when you start a request; Apple (store and payments); Google (ads, if you are not on Pro); RevenueCat (subscription status); and others if required by law.
We do not sell your documents. We do not share your documents with advertisers.
Retention and deletion
Delete items in the app, or delete the app, to remove local data. We cannot delete data held by Apple, Google, RevenueCat, or your AI provider — use their tools. Support emails are kept as needed to handle your request.
Children
Nock is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect their information. Contact us if you believe we have.
Your choices
Decline tracking in iOS settings. Manage or cancel Nock Pro in your Apple ID subscriptions. Email support@thenockapp.com for privacy requests about information we actually hold (usually only support email). Most app content never reaches us.
Changes
We may update this policy. The date above will change. Continued use means you accept the update.
